Can There Possibly Be More To Internet Marketing

Have you ever wanted to find an "untapped" niche?
Yeah, you and everybody else who wants to sell something. But the cold, hard truth is that untapped niches are a myth.
Or are they?
Well, I guess there might be a few out there still, but they’re few and far between. About the only way you can hope to find one is to jump on the bandwagon for something new…before there’s a bandwagon.
Many of the Guru's say, "don't re-invent the wheel" I.E. Don't try anyting new find where the money already is and go for that market, but make it better. How many of us are lost on that one?
That happened when the Web 2.0 craze started. Nobody knew anything about it. YouTube.com was new. So was MySpace.com. Now every marketer under the sun knows about those. They might not all be using those sites to promote their products, but the niche has definitely been tapped.
Social Marketing has come into play with Facebook, Squidoo Lenses, Linked In. Everyone is connecting and socializing and trying to sell their stuff.
Just about every topic you can think of for an information product in the IM world has been covered before. Don’t believe me? Think about the topics that come to mind when you imagine the world of IM:
list building
website design
product creation
using Web 2.0 to sell
how to use PPC programs like Google’s AdWords
how to use audio and video in your marketing
how to create a "viral" report
The list goes on. It’s all been done. But here’s the shocking truth…
So what?
It really doesn’t matter if it’s been done before.
Your can do it better.
You can do it cheaper.
You can do it with more "edginess" to it.
You can do it more creatively.
Here's a thought. How is your customer service? Are you or is someone answering your emails and quickly? Do you have a 1-800 number for help, possibly a chat. Most product sites I see have a support ticket system those are a pain. Very few have email or phone numbers.
Don't you think if your customers could get a hold of someone may increase trust and service and possibly make more sales. I know if I am buying a semi high ticket item. I want to know I can talk with someone if I need help.
The reason people tend not to consider those things is that they get stuck. They think, "It’s been done, so the market is probably saturated."
For example, you can go to your favorite internet marketing forum almost any day of the week and find several threads about how to build a list. People have been talking about that forever. And if people new to online marketing don’t know how to do it, that means there’s still opportunity out there.
Never forget what really sells: a unique selling proposition (USP) . Without having your USP in place you have no direction. Make sure you are unique and different than everyone else.
It could be a product about something people have beaten like a dead horse, but you put a little twist on it and…PRESTO! A brand new product that will excite people enough to buy.
Here’s a quick example…
If I went to a site to buy a product and I was comparing I would definetly buy the one with a number or email address.
All the best,
